Thèmes de recherche

My research work is focused on the study of osseous technology in the Ancient Prehistory, specifically in the Badegoulian and Magdalenian periods in the central Iberian Mediterranean region. My scientist contributions are centered on the characterization of Operational Schemas employed on the raw material (bone and antler) transformation to elaborate toolkits and weapons, paying special attention on palaeoecological and cultural aspects. I have contemplated in my research several Valencian archaeological sites like Cova de les Cendres (Teulada, Alicante), Cova del Parpalló (Gandía, Valencia) and, more recently, Cova del Volcán del Faro (Cullera, Valencia) and Nerja (Málaga, Andalucía).

The work program at TRACES laboratory is under the tutelage of Dr. Jean-Marc Pétillon. It is focused on the identification, study, and classification of the osseous technology of different sites. First, we are going to study the Badegoulian bone technology of Cuzoul de Vers. Next, we will study the antler and bone collection from Abri Fritsch in the Argenton-sur-Creuse museum. Finally, we will work on the Badegoulian sequence of Lachaud at Saint-Germain-en-Laye museum. We will participate with the DEX_TER and LASCo Projects too.
