Join us for our upcoming event: "Rock Art Paint Explorations: MATOBART experimental archaeology workshop", organised by IFAS-Research and Origins Center’s.

This 3-day interactive workshop brings together students, researchers and artists to discuss and explore experimental archaeology, rock painting recipes and rock art painting processes.

Tuesday, 15 October  8.30 for 9.00am – 3.00pm  IFAS, 62 Juta Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg – Lectures and discussions on experimental approaches in archaeology, focusing on rock art.

Wednesday 16 & Thursday 17 October   9.00am – 4.00pm  Origins Centre – Experiments with ochre collection, ochre processing techniques and paint recipe manufacture.
